THANK GOD FOR HIM

Have you heard of Jim Sterling? If so, then move on. If you haven’t, then be prepared to be introduced to a force of likes the execs and wrong-doers of the video game industry detest and, in some cases, cower from. Sword. Meet pen. And Jim’s got one heck of a pen.

A bit of background on Jim. He’s a video game journalist that hails from Britain (and currently resides in the States). He used to be a reviewer and content creator for sites Destructoid and The Escapist, before going independent with The Jimquisition, fully supported by the people via Patreon.

His thoughts and critiques are articulated, challenging, unbiased, and honest. No bullsh-t to be found here, especially since he is completely absolved from catering to sponsors or big-name corporations due to the fact that he has none.

It’s not only refreshing, but restorative to know that there is someone that can, will, and is able to call it down the line and what it is without being beholden by external influences just for access privileges, risking career suicide, or to be one of the suits.

If you haven’t checked him out yet, by all means, do. He is one of the few, and one of a kind. Thank God for you, Jim Sterling. You sexy, sexy meat of man, you.

By the way, the featured image of this article was done by Andrey Lyapichev, a former game developer and fantastic artist. His online handle is Weilard, and you can find more of him and his works at the links provided below. Cheers!
